In December 2019 the first ever “Samarthanam Women’s National Cricket Tournament for blind” was organized and it was the first time when 7 teams Including Delhi, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala and Odisha took part in such a huge event and the tournament received publicity through print and electronic media. The main attraction of the tournament was Ms. Smriti Mandhana, a mainstreme Indian cricketer who joind as brand ambassador and the legent west indian cricketer Mr. Brian Lara who inaugurated the tournament through a press conference. Odisha women’s team became the champion of the tournament by defeating Karnataka in the final.
